Born and raised in Northern California, Monice Lopez began her hair journey at a young age, drawn to the connection, creativity, and transformation that happens behind the chair. Her passion for textured hair deepened after becoming Ouidad certified, where she developed a true appreciation for the art, science, and individuality of curls.

With years of hands-on experience, Monice expanded her path into salon ownership, becoming co-owner of Nevaeh Salon in Roseville, California—a twelve-chair salon where she gained extensive experience in leadership, education, and business development. During this time, she became well-versed in Summit and Strategies business concepts, laying the foundation for her entrepreneurial growth.

Monice’s love for education led her to step onto the national stage, where she began teaching curl techniques and empowering stylists to gain confidence in textured hair. Her early education career included facilitating certifications across the country and presenting at major industry events, marking the beginning of her impact beyond the salon.

In a bold move rooted in purpose, Monice opened her studio salon, MoHairGoals Salon, which quickly became known for its expertise in texture and blonding. Clients travel from near and far seeking her specialized approach, thoughtful consultations, and results-driven artistry.

Today, Monice continues to balance life behind the chair four days a week while traveling nationwide as a National Educator for Hattori Hanzo Shears, sharing cutting philosophy, craftsmanship, and elevated technique. She also educates with Duomo Pro Color, aligning with her commitment to clean, high-performance color, and is a proud collaborator with Controlled Chaos, where she was selected to help write their curly hair education curriculum.
